WISCONSIN RAPIDS – An 85-year-old man was in fair condition Monday after a pickup truck and recreational vehicle collided Saturday on Eighth Street.
The Wisconsin Rapids man was driving his pickup south on Eighth Street and tried to make a left turn onto Kuhn Avenue, according to a Wisconsin Rapids Police Department crash report. The pickup turned in front of an RV driven by a 52-year-old Stevens Point woman who was traveling north on Eighth Street, according to the report.
The recreational vehicle hit the pickup and pushed it into a curb, knocking down an overhead traffic signal and a light pole, according to the crash report. The pickup was pinned between an embankment and the recreational vehicle.
