A multi-hour radiothon from the Children’s Miracle Network will be aired simultaneously on two Yakima stations Friday to boost donations for pediatric programs and services at Virginia Mason Memorial, the designated Children’s Miracle Network hospital for Central Washington.
The One Call One Miracle Radiothon will air live on NewsTalk 1280 AM and 92.9 FM The Bull from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to a news release. The event, which will be held at Children’s Village in Yakima, will feature a local child who receives the local services.
Donations will be accepted during the radiothon by calling 509-573-3920, texting “VMMKIDS” to 51555, going online to memfound.org and bringing cash or checks in person to Children’s Village, 3801 Kern Road. Up to $1,500 in donations made during the 7 a.m., 8 a.m. and noon hours of the radiothon will be matched by Yakima Federal Savings and Loan Association, Baird Wealth Management, Canopy Country RV Center, US Bank and HAPO Community Credit Union.
All funds raised will support services at Children’s Village and Memorial’s neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric unit and The Family Birthplace.
