“We are very excited to bring the Lazydays brand and its Best-in-Class Customer Experience and Service Excellence to the Murfreesboro market,” Ron Fleming, vice president and national general manager of the company, said in a statement.
The company recently submitted plans to the city for a store on Beasie Road northwest of nearby Instertate 24’s exit to New Salem Highway. The Murfreesboro Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a hearing on the store during a 1 p.m. Nov. 20 meeting at city hall.
“Murfreesboro sits in one of the fastest growing regions in the United States, and it, along with the entire state of Tennessee, has a very large community of outdoor enthusiasts,” Fleming said in the statement sent to The Daily News Journal. “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in the state of Tennessee.”
Lazydays RV started in 1976 and also has a store in Knoxville. The company’s website touts offering nearly 3,000 new and pre-owned RVs, more than 400 service bays and two on-site campgrounds with over 700 RV campsites.
Lazydays will have 60 to 80 jobs
The company expects construction for a building in the 43,000-square-foot range to start by the end of 2019. Once crews begin work, the project will take about eight to 10 months to complete.
Lazydays expects to employ 60 to 80 workers at the Murfreesboro store, which will be close to a relocation of The Outpost Armory and a new Murfreesboro Indoor Range. All of these businesses are also close to where a proposed aerospace factory may relocate from California.
The flagship Lazydays dealership and headquarters is on 126 acres outside of Tampa, Florida. The company also operates stores in The Villages, Florida; Minneapolis; Tucson, Arizona; and Denver and Loveland, Colorado.
Lazydays Holdings Inc. is a publicly listed company on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
